prof. Luca Spataro, Ph. D.
Luca Spataro got a Master of Arts in Applied Economics in 1996 at Coripe Piemonte (Turin) and Ph.D. in Economics from Sant’Anna School in Pisa in year 2000. Since 2016 he is Full Professor in Public Economics at the Dipartimento di Economia e Management, University of Pisa.
He has been visiting professor at Durham University (UK) and visiting scholar at UCL (UK).
He has been director of “Master in gestione dei rischi nei mercati finanziari”, Lucca (Italy) in 2011 and since 2008, member of the scientific board of the Ph.D. program in Economics at University of Pisa. In 2012 he has been appointed by the Italian Ministry of Welfare and Labor as independent expert to attend the intergovernmental peer review conference in Warsaw (Poland) on “Age friendly services and products – an opportunity for social and economic development”.
His main research areas are concerned with economics of savings, pension funds, optimal taxation and population economics.
He has been author and referee of several articles published in international journals.
